Fashion | Transitional Wear

Street Style
Street Style

I honestly thought I didn't suit denim jackets, but I really liked the long-line denim jackets going about lately. Their such a good piece to have in your wardrobe all year round. For example a long over sized t-shirt with thigh high boots, maybe for a dressed down glam look. Or a casual way with how I've styled it with jeans, t-shirt and a stand out bag and trainers.

Moving onto this bag. I've literally been using it ALL the time! No matter what outfit I wear it with, it just goes so well! The fact that it also looks more expensive than it actually was, as this is a Valentino dupe bag just like this one here. So instead of paying £1,800 for a real one, I got this one for £25 from Moda Bags! I've wore this bag to death lately, ever since I bought it. I don't understand how I haven't even shown this bag on my blog or YouTube yet! I definitely will be doing a bag collection video soon though!

Can we just talk about these classic accessories though! I talked about this Original Grain watch in more detail in this post, but I honestly wear this watch more than any other watch I own! It's such a classic piece and goes with everything. I've been loving the Daniel Wellington and Olivia Burton watches going about, but I wanted a watch that no one else had, as I like to be unique. The same goes for the choker I'm wearing from Fashion Mia that is a firm favourite of mine lately and is definitely one I have been wearing a lot lately, as well as my claddagh ring from Jeulia Jewelry too! I've got a whole separate post about this ring too! So do look out for that soon!

I honestly can't wait for the autumn season now with these transitional pieces! I've already bought a pretty dress for autumn which you'll see in a clothing haul on my YouTube channel soon enough!

Lifestyle | What Happened In July

Typical us photo right here of me and my friends. Always doing something stupidly hilarious...

Looks who's pretty much on time for what happened in July! THIS GIRL RIGHT HERE! July started off with a quick nosey around a vintage sale where you can buy a kilo of vintage clothes for £15. Unfortunately, me and Sophie didn't find one thing we liked or found that was our style. So obviously, we ventured to Primark and spent our money in there, and I maybe, kinda bought more rose gold wired baskets...oops...#OBSESSED
After our shopping spree and a quick McDonald's that I regretted eating halfway through, we had a nice swim in our local swimming baths. That same weekend I announced my giveaway winner for the British Style Collective Show.

At the start of July, I did a lot of painting and DIY as you may of read in What Happened In June that I moved out and into my Dad's. So my before and after room video will be VERY different, but either way I'll still be posting it as soon as it's done!

I attended a festival. Godiva Festival to be exact. A free festival held every year at Memorial Park Coventry and we were lucky enough to see Example, and the crowd was INSANE! Absolutely loved that night, as well as us all hitting the town to dance the night away of course with added alcohol.

July was the month of my 20th Birthday, and I had a brilliant day out with my favourite people at Twycross Zoo, my favourite animals were the parakeets! They were so beautiful and you go to get really close to them in this big enclosure that you could walk through. They were literally flying rainbows - now that's my type of bird! Afterwards we headed to this really nice posh pub called Turpins and friend recommended to me, and obviously had a glass of Prosecco as of the special occasion. There's my friend Stacie buying a whole bottle of Rose for herself ahahaa!
The day finished with spaghetti and meatballs at Frankie & Benny's (obviously because Italian food is may faveee, next to Indian food!). Honestly should of ate at Turpins, but maybe next time!

I honestly had a lovely day and was treated to some beautiful gifts! There will be a vlog all on this day! So head to my YouTube channel to see that when it's up!

Another thing that happened in July was my birthday house party...Wow, that was a mess including lots of alcohol, glitter, pink hair spray and silly string hehee!

We all went to the Sealife Centre which I vlogged which you will see on my YouTube soon! We had a fab time there then headed to CEX for me to buy Battlefield 1 for the Xbox One. Then as we were waiting for a few of the boys to return some guy with a spliff came over and started to talk to use about lucozade...OKAY THEN MATE. BYE. You get some really odd people in Birmingham so be careful if your ever there by the way! We also (of course) booked a table for 8 of us at the Cosy Club in Birmingham which I'd never been to before and it's not the best compared to the one in Coventry except the interior is a lot fancier. We all had a brilliant day and our next day out for all 9 of us is going to be Rush Trampoline Park again but some of our friends haven't been before so that should be fun again! I vlogged my first trip so you can find that on my YouTube too!

That concludes what happened in this month! What have you enjoyed during July?

Favourite Youtubers

I'm loving these types of posts lately! I did a favourite bloggers on here if you want to read that. I'm hating this silly algorithm thing that's going on with YouTube & Instagram. Does the industry not want us smaller people (literally) to grow or something? Anyway, I'm creating this post to shout out some big and small YouTubers I've been watching and liking lately.

Lydia E Millen - Absolute inspiration to women of all ages! She has some seriously beautiful clothes, amazing designer style, she's so down to earth, open and honest in all her videos and honestly is a pleasure to watch and follow her on social media platforms. Definitely give her a sub and watch some of her videos if you love daily vlogs, travel, designer wear and a good laugh every once in a while!

Jaide Poppy - I've had the pleasure of meeting this fab woman and she is one of my favourite bloggers/youtubers to follow. She has a certain diet she has to stick to due to medical reasons and I completely respect that! But she makes and creates some amazing vegan/gluten free recipes as well as being that lovely supportive person you feel you've been friends with for years. Just love this girl!

Charlotte Hole - You must be sick of how much I mention Charlotte, she is just so creative, lovely, down to earth and just an overall amazing inspirational human being! She's travelled to so many different places and probably has loads of stamps in her passport. Charlotte is just so inspiring from her style, creativity, personality, thoughts and right down to the way she edits her videos. She's just one person that I always feel inspired by in this massive community.

Beth Carney - Honestly the sweetest girl with such a cut voice! I love how she does her make up the most and how honest she is about things, especially for reviews on products. Beth is also such a supportive person within the blogosphere!

InTheFrow - Victoria has been one that I've followed for at least 3 years now, ever since she had purple hair with 90k subscribers! I've loved watching her transition through life as a successful young woman. She's such an inspiration to all ages and is the sweetest person to watch, especially with her recent weekly vlogs. I love watching her and her boyfriend Alex's adventures so much! Find his channel here.

Charlie Friend - My gosh this girl is strong! Absolutely love what she's accomplished. Firstly she ran the London marathon, got a nose and boob job at the same time and looks amazing! She honestly makes me laugh so much in her videos too. I've met her at an event before, that's how I found her channel, and honestly, just check out her channel, she's so funny, honest and just English if that makes sense? As in her humour!

That's it for this post! Hope you enjoyed reading and hopefully have found a new youtuber you would like to watch. What's your most inspirational youtuber?

Hair | Mashooq Deep Penetrating Oil

Mashooq Deep Penetrating Oil

I don't tend to use these type of oil that often, but this one I've been reaching for in the shower quite often lately...

I was recommended to shampoo my hair first before using this product then leaving it on the lengths of my hair whilst relaxing in the bath as the hot steam helps the oil work better, but knowing my hair so well, I knew that it'd end up greasy within my hair once washed out. So, I decided to mix this oil with my conditioner, and what do you know! It made my hair so silky and soft! Definitely recommend trying this little gem out, maybe test it out in the way suggested and see how it goes, but I definitely prefer it mixed within my conditioner for sure!

Thanks for reading! Have you ever tried this before?

Fashion | Treat Yourself With Original Grain

Original Grain Watches

There's nothing wrong with treating yourself in life. No matter whether that be some Chloe shoes, a Chanel bag, Dior Make up or even a beautiful wood watch from Original Grain.

Original Grain Watches
Original Grain Watches

I've always been one for treating myself every now and again, as let's be honest, we all work hard in our own personal way. With me, I'm always busy working, keeping active ad doing things constantly, so I rarely take a break. So I definitely believe in treating yourself every once in a while.

Original Grain Watches

My most recent treat was this beautifully designed wood watch from Original Grain. I've seen so many different designs by different brands that I've just loved, but never found that perfect design that fitted into my personal style. I wanted something classy but unique. So then I saw the Minimalist collection they had, so obviously I had a little nosey, as I've always loved that simple classic watch that can be so minimal but so bold at the same time. The dial itself has beautiful gold detailing as well as a wooden effect around the outside. Along with the leather strap, the underside has a very unusual wood grain design, which is so unique.

Original Grain Watches

In all honesty, this watch is the type of watch I've been looking for, the design, the uniqueness, the fact that there's not an annoying ticking noise as it's a silent watch too! The engraving also adds a nice touch to the buckle as well. Overall, this is a watch I would recommend, as just look at that packaging! It just sold me the moment I opened it, so well designed and packaged!

Have you ever treated yourself to anything luxurious before

You can find this watch in the link below:

Lifestyle | What Happened In June

Well June was eventful! Firstly I spent some time with my girls shopping and in our favourite place, The Cosy Club, of course. That day we finally booked our trip to Disneyland Paris for a weekend! Also a trip to Scotland for me and Reiss, as we've talked about going there so often! Another trip for this year is Brighton for a day too! So excited to finally visit the place!

I also went to see the new Wonder Woman film which was INSANE! See my full reaction and thoughts in my vlog here.

I modelled for my friends university show, where I was transformed into a magical, highlighted to the max, sequin unicorn! Watch the transformation here!

What also happened in June was, I visited Stratford-Upon-Avon and went into the butterfly farm and ate chips near the lake with Reiss, Sophie and Sam. Watch the vlog here for that!

I went up to Skegness again to see my grandparents and sat on the beach for 3 and a half hours reading whilst they were fishing. I also did a fair bit of bargain shopping whilst I was in the town centre too!

In June I also moved out, redecorated and finally brought the Ed Sheeran Divide album! Reiss was also sweet enough to buy me the most beautiful bunch of roses on the last day of June, how sweet!

That pretty much sums up June! How was your month! Thanks for reading!

Advice | How To Have A Good Life Balance

Some people are organised all the time, some people may be organised most of the time, half or even not organised at all. Either way, I thought I'd create a post that will maybe help those out who are trying to balance work, their social life, me time, travelling, blogging etc. It may help, it may not, either way this is what works for me.

Scheduling

I've recently started to schedule my weeks one at a time now, as I used to make plans and schedule 3 months in advance with days out and blogging, but I felt it was too much and that my content wasn't current. Now, with blog posts, I'm trying to be at least a month ahead of myself, as well as any social plans I have that need extra planning for, I give 2-4 weeks or more in advance to plan if it's a big day out. If it's just shopping with a friend, then I schedule it in during the current or next week, if I'm not busy at work or something. I give myself at least half an hour to an hour at the weekend to write a to do list for each day of the week of what I need to do, whether that be write out a blog post, film or edit a video, read blogs or answer emails. I also, in my separate academic diary, write down on the specific days/dates I'm going to the gym or class as well as when I'm seeing or visiting family members, birthdays, events, holidays etc. I even write down deadlines for posts to be up so I don't fall behind with it all.

Taking time out for myself

My best time for this is in the evening, by running myself a hot bubbly bath, exfoliating and giving my body a deep clean as well as adding in lotions and creams to soften my skin afterwards. I like to have a tech free time whilst in the bath and just relax with a magazine - I would read a book in the bath, but they're more precious to me than a magazine, as if I were to drop it in the bath then yeaa, it's screwed. Afterwards, I like to watch either my favourite youtubers and catch up on their latest uploads, or watch one of the series on Netflix, I'm currently watching Once Upon A Time, seeing as I was waiting for Orange Is The New Black, Pretty Little Liars, Gotham and Stranger Things to return!

Work

Seeing as I work flexible hours each week at work, I usually start scheduling my week and social life around my hours, as money making is my priority at the minute, as I want to save as much as possible for travelling, and I also have a personal target for the end of the year to save up, which is sort of going to plan so far - fingers crossed!

Blogging

As I said before, this mainly gets done by working around my work hours or on a free hour or two at the weekend. I schedule my blog posts for mainly a Monday and Thursday/Friday depending on my plans for that particular week. As well as scheduling a video for every Sunday too.

So that concludes how my life stays organised. Basically sticking to a weekly schedule that works for me. I wouldn't be this organised without all my notepads, diary, personal exercise and food diary! It all depends on what works for you really! How do you stay organised?

Beauty | Exuviance Skincare Review

Exuviance Skincare

Never heard of this brand before? Neither had I until BlogConLDN happened...

Exuviance Skincare

This  Bionic Oxygen Facial mask is such an unusual product and a complete game changer! It's like it opens your pores to absorb more oxygen into your face! When I first tried this, I put a few pumps into my fingers and rubbed the product all over my face and literally sat staring at it in the mirror for the 5 minutes it's recommended to stay on your face for, and it's SO weird and satisfying! It literally fizzes up on your skin and tickles! It's so weird but I love it! I swear you guys, you need to try this as it's so good! It leaves my skin nice and smooth too! Game changer here!

Exuviance Skincare

I've literally finished this product now, as I use it pretty much every time I get in the shower (every 2-3 days), so this product has been really put to the test over the last few months! It's quite a smooth exfoliating product, that leaves, especially my legs, super smooth and extra shiny when I add body lotion! It's got these little beads in the formula that's supposed to be good for your skin too! It's a lot less tough on your skin than say, the Soap and Glory scrubs which I used as well when I weren't using this product.

Exuviance Skincare
Exuviance Skincare

I use this EVERY single day and night! It definitely helps to hydrate my under eyes and seem to have completely stopped my skin from getting those dry patches on my eye lids now - THANK GOD. I won't go a morning or evening without applying this product and it's a firm favourite of part of my morning and night skincare routine. I wouldn't say it helps your dark circles that much, but it slightly helps with the brightening part. I'd like to try more eye creams, especially by Olay and Kheils!

Thanks for reading! Find all the products I've mentioned below.
