Travel | Bloggers Picnic

I'm back from Austria! So I thought it was about time I mentioned about my Bloggers Picnic idea!

Love Blogger Events and meeting new people? Love picnic's? Well, here's my idea of bringing together a load of different bloggers and having a picnic in the summer this year (2017) in possibly Hyde Park, London.

Weather permitting, I hope we can all bring a blanket each, as well as however many munchies, drinks, party poppers etc. Whatever you can think of to bring to this picnic. I thought it would be a lovely idea for us all to have a bloggers day out for free, just having fun and meeting some amazing, new, lovely other bloggers!!

I've been wanting to organise this day out for a year now, so it's about time I did it! Let's do this guys and girls!

If your interested in this or have any questions or other ideas for us to do during the day, please feel free to email me at isobelthomas147@gmail.com and I will add you to the list where you will get up dates about the event.

Cosplaying Passion

Harley Quinn and The Joker

Cosplaying...Many people ask us cosplayers why we do it. My main reason as well as my boyfriend is how we feel when cosplaying a character we love. It honestly makes me feel so badass cosplaying. I feel confident, I feel in character, like I'm in a different world. I've been doing cosplaying for the last year and a half now, and I don't feel like I share it enough. It says on my Instagram that I'm a Cosplayer, yet I rarely post any of my shots from different shoots. So this is the time, I'm going to embrace this part of my personality and share it with the world, as I'm definitely not scared to share this passion!

Harley Quinn and The Joker

Me and Reiss have wanted to a couple cosplay ever since we first met. We actually first met at Comic Con 2 years ago, so this is the main reason why we always go, plus the fact we both love going each time it comes around for the event to be on near us. Moving on to our cosplay costumes...

Reiss absolutely loves The Joker and Harley Quinn, esecially from Suicide Squad, so he went for cosplaying his favourite character with some epic details, The Jokers exact replica of a gun and looking like a gangster in the gold chains. Meanwhile, with my costume, I went for Arkham Harley Quinn with a slight mash up of the Suicide Squad Harley Quinn and a comic book version I found. So it's a massive mix of different Harley Quinns all together. We took a fair few different posed shots to suit our characters, which was actually really fun. Some pieces we actually bought for the actual costume, we can re-wear in everyday outfits, like my boots, my gosh they are beaut with a pair of jeans or a dress! Here's a few shots from the day...

Thanks for reading guys! If you have any questions about cosplaying or anything about our cosplays or what you want to know about our next cosplay plans, let me know so I can see if I can make this into some form of series for the blog!

Find Reiss on Instagram here to see his latest cosplays.

This will be my last post until I come back from Austria now, so stick around on my social media platforms, especially Instagram & Snapchat (isobelceline), as that's where I'll be posting the most whilst I'm there. See you soon unicorns!

Lifestyle | What Happened In March

Harley Quinn & The Joker

I'm definitely loving this monthly recap series of mine! It's nice to reflect back on the months I've had and what memories were made during the month.

Firstly, I've been working the majority of this month to get enough money for my trip to Austria with my boyfriend, best friend and her boyfriend. Seriously excited for this! I'm also going to be vlogging my road trip there and creating a fair bit of content whilst I'm there! So expect to see my fashion section fill back up again! As well as more travel posts!

I got to spend a day shopping with my one of my best friend Stacie, who I need to see more of. We had a day filled with shopping in Primark, beauty shopping, especially in Chanel. I also had a lot of chilled out days, as I had a lot of work to do this month, especially preparing for Comic Con (my first ever one going with my boyfriend, even though that's where we met 2 years ago!). It's been quite a chilled month really when it came to going out and events etc. Just a lot of work involved!

Something really exciting (to me) got sorted, my bedroom finally got sorted and the way I've always wanted it. Thanks to IKEA having some brilliant furniture that suited my taste perfectly! I won't say too much, as when it's completely finished, there will be a room tour blog post, as well as a before & after video, which I'm really excited to edit once everything is finished! Just getting the finishing touches in, but the video won't be up until April/May, due to me wanting to buy a new TV as well, as the one I've got, I've had for years, and the screens not as good as I'd like it to be, with me playing on the Xbox & watching Netflix & YouTube on it a lot. Can't wait to get it finished and this video up though!

The main event out of the whole month was seeing Russell Howard with my best friend Stacie again, so it was nice to see her more than once this month! It was a brilliant show! He also pointed out some brilliant things we should not forget! Definitely get your hands on the DVD when it comes out - Russell Howard Live - Around The World. I'm sure it'll be out around December time, so perfect for Christmas, it's definitely on my wish list! I'm not to sure on the exact date as he didn't say during the show, but either way, it'll be out this year at some point!

During the same weekend, I attend one of Scarlett London's events called #BlogConLDN. One of THE best events I've attended so far! It was full of so many lovely bloggers, a fair few I've met before at other blogger events, which was really nice to be reunited with those lovely girls! As well as networking with so many new brands that I've heard of before and others I've never heard of, so it was brilliant to talk to them all and get to know more about their products and their benefits.

Again in the same weekend (Yep, it was one hell of a busy weekend! Not complaining though!), I attended Comic Con with my boyfriend and his friend, we, well, I bought a fair few bits from the convention, mainly for my brothers birthday but shh...I bought some chopsticks, as I love eating noodles a lot, especially the super noodles barbecue beef flavour, ugh...*spot on emoji right here*. Obsessed with them! Anyway, I felt so badass cosplaying my mash up of Harley Quinn. Along side my boyfriend who was cosplaying a sick, and I must say, hot Suicide Squad Joker. I have to take credit for his hair, and make up though hehee, but the rest was all him. Really proud of what he created though! I also met up with one of my old cosplay pals Cat who is in my vlog too. No idea what she was cosplaying though (sorry Cat!) as I'm not exactly a fan of anime or mange, it's just never been my sort of thing, but marvel and DC (mainly Marvel) has always been an interest to me! We were also involved in a Marvel Vs DC shoot, that would of been better if it was in a better location of the NEC and more well organised.

The last exciting thing of the entire month, was me and my boyfriends 1 Year Anniversary! It was so nice to have a night for just us, go out for Pizza at Pizza Hut, then headed over to the cinema (In reclining seats - GET IN!) to watch the new Logan film with a Pizza Hut waffle and ice cream and a Tango Ice Blast. Perfect! I actually had such a nice time, and it was really nice to go back to basics of what we used to love doing together.

I also took my mum out for a nice Italian for Mother's Day at the Sovrano Cafe in Coventry. I had a Chilli Con Carne (needed more spice for me to like it that bit more), and my Mum had a Lasagne and a Cappuccino. Can you tell we like Italian food in my family and also within my friendships? Pattern here...

That concludes this months recap! See you in the next one! Watch all my vlogs & videos from March here. Thanks for reading!

Lifestyle | Indigo Nutrition Organic Supergreens Powder

Indigo Nutrition Organic Supergreens Powder

Okay, by no means am I vegan guys. I've been to a vegan resturant and tried vegan food. I've actually tried so many different vegan type of foods, yet, I just haven't got a taste for it. Sorry to you guys out there that are vegan or on plant based diets, I just can't see how you do it! Well done to sticking to the healthy stuff, but I'll stick with my crisps hahaa. If you follow me on Instagram, you would of seen  that I tried this powder out and gave you my honest opinion on the product mixed into a smoothie with a banana and mango juice. Bearing in mind this was rather spontaneous, so I really didn't know what to expect.

When I first opened the packet and saw it was a dark green powder, I was like, woah...You know when you have that feeling before you try something you just know your not gonna like it. Let's be honest, I am one of those people who is really fussy with their food, right down to how it's presented on the plate. Food has to be separate to each other and not mixed when it comes to meals. Smoothies are fine for me though. But when I first mixed this powder with the banana and mango juice, it just made the mix look so weird. Although the product is actually really good for you with the likes of wheat grass and a fair few other grasses and the fact it's organic, is pretty good for your insides and probably your skin too, but flavour is everything to me. When I first had a smell of the powder it sort of smelt chocolatey, so I wasn't too scared of trying it, then I tried it mixed with the other things and it was such a peculiar flavour...Really hard to describe, but it just was not for me.

Indigo Nutrition Organic Supergreens Powder

If your vegan and like this sort of thing, then this would be great for you, but for someone that isn't the healthiest when it comes to trying organic stuff, your not gonna always get a good result. So my overall opinion on this would be, if I saw it in a shop, I wouldn't even think of picking it up, as it's just not my sort of thing, nor my type of powder to mix with other foods. If your vegan or a health fanatic, you go for it and try this out! I'll just stick with my crisps hahaa!

Travel | #BlogConLDN

#BlogConLDN

Travelling from the Midlands down to London for the day just for #BlogCon LDN. A blogger event organised by Scarlett London. This was my first time attending one of her events, and I absolutely loved it, and was well worth travelling down to London for! So let's see what it was all about...

#BlogConLDN

There were supposed to be about 400 different bloggers attending the blogger conference, and my gosh it was certainly busy. Of course I vlogged the entire thing! You can find the video here.

I met some new and some old blogger friends whilst I was there, including:

Fran - A Page Of Me
Katherine - Millennial Rants
Farheen - Farheenxo

#BlogConLDN

Everyone I spoke to, including the brand representatives that were there, were so and approachable. There were brands such as:

And many others, but these are the main ones I spoke to. The represenative at the Alflorex stand, was Irish and happened to be from the part of Ireland my grandparents were from! Small world!

There were lots of lovely brands that chipped into gifting all us bloggers with the #BlogConLDN goody bags that contained SO many awesome things! I'm going to be doing a review series of all the products that were in the goody bag! I'm already so excited to try them all out! From the likes of Schwarzkopf, Aspire, Indigo Nutrition and a fair few others! I really appreciated it and the fact that the event had so much effort put into it! I found it so thoughtful and generous of all these different brands to be apart of the goody bags.

#BlogConLDN

I've recently been in a bit of a blogging block, and not wanting to make as much content, but now I've attended this event, I feel completely re-inspired again to get back to working hard and continue to making great content again! Oh! Also, there were loads of different competitions and giveaways going on as well as bigger bloggers giving talks on different tables. Ones I know and love were, Vix Meldrew & Hayley from Frock Me I'm Famous. I unfortunately missed their talks due to so many people being around the table and there being only a limited number of seats too.

Overall, I will definitely be attending more blogger events if I can in the future! Also head to my YouTube channel to watch my vlog from the event in my latest Weekend Vlog!

Did you attend #BlogConLDN? What events have you been to or are going to attend?

Advice | 5 Ways To Be More Productive

Canalside

Lately, I've been trying to be productive as possible and keep my health in tack to keep me motivated to keep being productive.

Canalside

Taking breaks

As I sit at my desk a lot when I'm blogging for a day or in the evening, and rarely take a break in between working, away from a screen, I've started to take a break by making a hot chocolate or grabbing a few snacks, as I have to eat quite a lot due to my metabolism being so fast - so fast my body has a metabolism of a 12 year old. I also like to drink plenty of fluids whilst working to keep me focused and hydrated. It also gives me a break to get up and go get a drink which still keeps me being productive when I get back to working on whatever it is I'm working on.

Canalside

Drinking more fluids

I absolutely hate drinking plain water, so adding in a lemon or flavoured squash to it really helps me to drink more of it. Also it helps me to be less tired when I drink more and keeps me motivated whilst working. I always feel better physically and mentally when I've had plenty of fluids throughout the day.

Canalside

Having a good nights sleep

I've realised that when I have 9 & a half hours sleep at night, I feel at my best. I'm trying to go to bed at half nine as I get up at 6 some days for work, so I am feeling fresh and energized for the day ahead. I also turn all gadgets off half an hour before I go to sleep and read a book to help me become more sleepy.

Canalside

Write a list

Writing lists are one of my favourite things to do. Especially for things to do, things I need or scheduling blog posts. I just love planning things well in advanced as it also keeps me motivated and feeling productive. I can't tell you about how many lists I have of separate things, including a birthday wishlist, to do list of random things, daily to do list, bucket list, video ideas, blog post ideas, literally so many! Always good to keep track of things though, as without these lists I'd probably forget so much!

Canalside

Have an inspiring work space

If you saw on my Snapchat (isobelceline), a while ago that I brought some fairy lights in copper, and a light box for my desk. These small objects just give me that mindset to stay inspired and focused, it's just my little area for me, to get shit done basically! It's such a nice thing to have an area for yourself to stay productive, as certain spaces I feel productive in, and others I just don't as they didn't give off that certain vibe.

Canalside

How do you keep being productive? Do you have any different tips that are different to the ones I use? Leave them below in the comments so I can see if any new ones will work for me or others! Hope you liked this post. Thanks for reading!

Lifestyle | Taking It To The Next Level

Street Style

Okay, let's start with a throwback to my New Year Changes, I said I wanted to take YouTube and blogging to the next level, but recently my laptop stopped working so I gave myself a fell on break from blogging and YouTube for a good two weeks. It actually made me realise, how much time I actually spend making content, answering and sending emails, editing etc. And I was hardly making any actual time for myself or for others.

So instead of taking it to the next level, I took time out to actually schedule when I blog and create content and spending quality time with the people I love, as well as making time for just me to relax.

I do have a lot o different content and ideas lined up for Fashionista Chic this year, more so to show my personality more, the same goes for my YouTube, more adventurous vlogs and different kinds of videos. So definitely subscribe to my channel if you want to stay tuned for all that!

I felt the need to take this time away to create new content I'm proud of and want to write about. This doesn't mean I'm stopping blogging or YouTube, I just want to stop pressurising myself to post a blog post every Monday and Thursday, as well as a video every Sunday night. I just want to prioritise my time more and spend it more efficiently.

Thank you to everyone that takes their time out their day to read and comment as well as support my blog. I love reading your comments and replying back to you, as I love it when you all get involved with my content and report back to me about what you liked within the post or what you liked within my videos.

Lifestyle & Fashion | What Happened In February

60's Mod Style

So I thought about it and I want to make this a monthly thing for definite. So let's see what happened in February...

60's Mod Style
60's Mod Style

First of all, I started the gym and got into a routine of going 2-3 times a week, the odd time I went 4 times in a week - well done me! I joined a good fitness class as well as yoga class - one of the best classes I've done, you have to try it! I also found out I am really underweight and need to eat more, even though I eat so much every day! I even keep a food and exercise diary now so I can keep track each day, and I've figured out I eat more when I'm at work rather than when I'm at home. I also found out I have a metabolism of a 12 year old hahaa! I knew it was fast, but not that fast!

60's Mod Style
60's Mod Style

I caught up with some work friends and had such a good night with them! That was also the day I had my hair done to a shorter, baby blonde colour and style, and my gosh...I've never spent so much money on my hair! Plus it took 6 hours to do! See more about this in my Weekend Vlog on my Youtube - link at the bottom of this post.

I spent some lovely quality time with my family and boyfriend, especially country walks with my dog Pepsi, who I love so much. Catch a few shots of him in this blog post.

60's Mod Style
60's Mod Style

I took a Sunday trip down to London to meet up with some blogger friends who I met back at the TBHXBWB Bloggers Meet Up. We went for brunch in Notting Hill in a vegan restaurant called Farmacy. Myself and everyone else ordered the pancakes, which I had nutella with, they were beautifully presented, but I found vegan food is really not for me, especially coconut yogurt. I also ordered the Berry Punch drink, which I would definitely go back there for again if I was in the area! Just the drinks though, as the food just wasn't my cup of tea, but I loved how the place was set out!

60's Mod Style
60's Mod Style

February also (obviously) involved Valentine's Day, so I spent the day with my boyfriend, just us, spending time together and heading out to a cute little Indian restaurant, greeted by a delicious glass of wine and poppadoms with the lovely dips. We had a starter, I had chicken tikka pieces with salad and Reiss had Sheek kebab with salad. It was then followed by our main, I had chicken madras (AMAZING), with pilau rice, and shared a naan bread, while Reiss had chicken tikka pieces with salad and chips. At the end of our meal, they brought out a rose to give to Reiss to give to me! It topped off the entire day as I was so touched by this, as roses are my absolute favourite flowers!

60's Mod Style
60's Mod Style

My Valentine's Day gift to him was tickets to go see Jack Whitehall, a comedian we both love! It was honestly the most hilarious night, except the horrendous taxi journey back, as the driver almost crashed the taxi by driving whilst using his phone and just missed a bollard in the road! Horrific experience!

Also my laptop I was having trouble with, so my blogging wasn't as frequent as I had  hoped, so I had it formatted and it's working fine so far! I'm definitely going to save up for an iMac soon. Any recommendations or opinions on them would be great to hear! I also had some exciting collaborations with Swiss Clinic, Zaful and Boohoo in February!

60's Mod Style
60's Mod Style
Dress - Primark | Roll Neck - Vintage from Italy | Fishnet Tights - Primark | *Bag - Sammy Dress | Boots - Hypnotic | Watch - Aldo

As for this outfit, I've had this on repeat so often! It's been perfect for the cold days - especially in February. I love this 60's mod sort of style! I wear this roll neck so often! As you will see in a lot of my vlogs on my YouTube (link down below). As for this bag, I wear this SO much, it's so like a Gucci dupe bag with the strap. When it arrived I didn't think I'd fit much in it, but once I wore it a few times, the inside got some air in it and I can fit all my essentials in it! My boots are a favourite of mine and I wear them with nearly every outfit, out of all the boots I own, these are the ones I reach for the most recently!

I also took a trip out to Bicester Village with one of my best friends, as we've both wanted to go for ages! So we took a spontaneous trip down there, and the amount of things I wanted to buy but stopped myself as of saving money for the amount of trips and holidays I've got planned this year. I will go back either later in the year and/or next year and get that Micheal Kors Denim Bag! I also hope to get my hands on the Gucci belt at some point!
