Hair | Mashooq Deep Penetrating Oil

Mashooq Deep Penetrating Oil

I don't tend to use these type of oil that often, but this one I've been reaching for in the shower quite often lately...

I was recommended to shampoo my hair first before using this product then leaving it on the lengths of my hair whilst relaxing in the bath as the hot steam helps the oil work better, but knowing my hair so well, I knew that it'd end up greasy within my hair once washed out. So, I decided to mix this oil with my conditioner, and what do you know! It made my hair so silky and soft! Definitely recommend trying this little gem out, maybe test it out in the way suggested and see how it goes, but I definitely prefer it mixed within my conditioner for sure!

Thanks for reading! Have you ever tried this before?

Fashion | Treat Yourself With Original Grain

Original Grain Watches

There's nothing wrong with treating yourself in life. No matter whether that be some Chloe shoes, a Chanel bag, Dior Make up or even a beautiful wood watch from Original Grain.

Original Grain Watches
Original Grain Watches

I've always been one for treating myself every now and again, as let's be honest, we all work hard in our own personal way. With me, I'm always busy working, keeping active ad doing things constantly, so I rarely take a break. So I definitely believe in treating yourself every once in a while.

My most recent treat was this beautifully designed wood watch from Original Grain. I've seen so many different designs by different brands that I've just loved, but never found that perfect design that fitted into my personal style. I wanted something classy but unique. So then I saw the Minimalist collection they had, so obviously I had a little nosey, as I've always loved that simple classic watch that can be so minimal but so bold at the same time. The dial itself has beautiful gold detailing as well as a wooden effect around the outside. Along with the leather strap, the underside has a very unusual wood grain design, which is so unique.

In all honesty, this watch is the type of watch I've been looking for, the design, the uniqueness, the fact that there's not an annoying ticking noise as it's a silent watch too! The engraving also adds a nice touch to the buckle as well. Overall, this is a watch I would recommend, as just look at that packaging! It just sold me the moment I opened it, so well designed and packaged!

Have you ever treated yourself to anything luxurious before

Lifestyle | What Happened In June

Well June was eventful! Firstly I spent some time with my girls shopping and in our favourite place, The Cosy Club, of course. That day we finally booked our trip to Disneyland Paris for a weekend! Also a trip to Scotland for me and Reiss, as we've talked about going there so often! Another trip for this year is Brighton for a day too! So excited to finally visit the place!

I also went to see the new Wonder Woman film which was INSANE! See my full reaction and thoughts in my vlog here.

I modelled for my friends university show, where I was transformed into a magical, highlighted to the max, sequin unicorn! Watch the transformation here!

What also happened in June was, I visited Stratford-Upon-Avon and went into the butterfly farm and ate chips near the lake with Reiss, Sophie and Sam. Watch the vlog here for that!

I went up to Skegness again to see my grandparents and sat on the beach for 3 and a half hours reading whilst they were fishing. I also did a fair bit of bargain shopping whilst I was in the town centre too!

In June I also moved out, redecorated and finally brought the Ed Sheeran Divide album! Reiss was also sweet enough to buy me the most beautiful bunch of roses on the last day of June, how sweet!

That pretty much sums up June! How was your month! Thanks for reading!

Advice | How To Have A Good Life Balance

Some people are organised all the time, some people may be organised most of the time, half or even not organised at all. Either way, I thought I'd create a post that will maybe help those out who are trying to balance work, their social life, me time, travelling, blogging etc. It may help, it may not, either way this is what works for me.

Scheduling

I've recently started to schedule my weeks one at a time now, as I used to make plans and schedule 3 months in advance with days out and blogging, but I felt it was too much and that my content wasn't current. Now, with blog posts, I'm trying to be at least a month ahead of myself, as well as any social plans I have that need extra planning for, I give 2-4 weeks or more in advance to plan if it's a big day out. If it's just shopping with a friend, then I schedule it in during the current or next week, if I'm not busy at work or something. I give myself at least half an hour to an hour at the weekend to write a to do list for each day of the week of what I need to do, whether that be write out a blog post, film or edit a video, read blogs or answer emails. I also, in my separate academic diary, write down on the specific days/dates I'm going to the gym or class as well as when I'm seeing or visiting family members, birthdays, events, holidays etc. I even write down deadlines for posts to be up so I don't fall behind with it all.

Taking time out for myself

My best time for this is in the evening, by running myself a hot bubbly bath, exfoliating and giving my body a deep clean as well as adding in lotions and creams to soften my skin afterwards. I like to have a tech free time whilst in the bath and just relax with a magazine - I would read a book in the bath, but they're more precious to me than a magazine, as if I were to drop it in the bath then yeaa, it's screwed. Afterwards, I like to watch either my favourite youtubers and catch up on their latest uploads, or watch one of the series on Netflix, I'm currently watching Once Upon A Time, seeing as I was waiting for Orange Is The New Black, Pretty Little Liars, Gotham and Stranger Things to return!

Work

Seeing as I work flexible hours each week at work, I usually start scheduling my week and social life around my hours, as money making is my priority at the minute, as I want to save as much as possible for travelling, and I also have a personal target for the end of the year to save up, which is sort of going to plan so far - fingers crossed!

Blogging

As I said before, this mainly gets done by working around my work hours or on a free hour or two at the weekend. I schedule my blog posts for mainly a Monday and Thursday/Friday depending on my plans for that particular week. As well as scheduling a video for every Sunday too.

So that concludes how my life stays organised. Basically sticking to a weekly schedule that works for me. I wouldn't be this organised without all my notepads, diary, personal exercise and food diary! It all depends on what works for you really! How do you stay organised?

Beauty | Exuviance Skincare Review

Exuviance Skincare

Never heard of this brand before? Neither had I until BlogConLDN happened...

Exuviance Skincare

This  Bionic Oxygen Facial mask is such an unusual product and a complete game changer! It's like it opens your pores to absorb more oxygen into your face! When I first tried this, I put a few pumps into my fingers and rubbed the product all over my face and literally sat staring at it in the mirror for the 5 minutes it's recommended to stay on your face for, and it's SO weird and satisfying! It literally fizzes up on your skin and tickles! It's so weird but I love it! I swear you guys, you need to try this as it's so good! It leaves my skin nice and smooth too! Game changer here!

Exuviance Skincare

I've literally finished this product now, as I use it pretty much every time I get in the shower (every 2-3 days), so this product has been really put to the test over the last few months! It's quite a smooth exfoliating product, that leaves, especially my legs, super smooth and extra shiny when I add body lotion! It's got these little beads in the formula that's supposed to be good for your skin too! It's a lot less tough on your skin than say, the Soap and Glory scrubs which I used as well when I weren't using this product.

Exuviance Skincare
Exuviance Skincare

I use this EVERY single day and night! It definitely helps to hydrate my under eyes and seem to have completely stopped my skin from getting those dry patches on my eye lids now - THANK GOD. I won't go a morning or evening without applying this product and it's a firm favourite of part of my morning and night skincare routine. I wouldn't say it helps your dark circles that much, but it slightly helps with the brightening part. I'd like to try more eye creams, especially by Olay and Kheils!

Thanks for reading! Find all the products I've mentioned below.

Lifestyle | What Happened In May

Well this post came out a bit late didn't it? Anyway, let's see what happened in May...

Firstly, we kicked off the month with shopping in Solihull, followed by a bowl of spaghetti bolognese in Zizzi's of course. See the vlog here.

The Boyfriend Tag was finally filmed too! Which you can watch here.

I saw the Arianna Grande Dangerous Woman Tour concert at the Genting Arena not long before the dreadful and devastating attacks in Manchester - it was just too upsetting the day that happened...

I rarely exercised in May - as in went the gym, so we just went swimming for a change! Then it was followed by a meal out at my favourite place, of course, The Cosy Club! This was also the day I got a new puppy named Bella!

We also visited Rush Trampolining Park in Birmingham which was AWESOME! We had such a good time and it had so many different activities. Check out the vlog here.

I also took a trip up to Skegness again to see my family. It's so nice to be able to have that break away and walk along the beach in the sunshine - even if it was pretty windy! I also finished reading The Girl On The Train - finally! Such a good book and definitely would recommend it if you love a good gripping mystery thriller book!

That basically shows what happened in May! Let's see what happens in June!

Fashion | Nothing

Summer OOTD
Summer OOTD

I first saw this top on one of my favourite bloggers called Charlotte Hole and she styled it quite a lot, in a fair few different ways. I just styled it casually as that's what I've been going for lately, just casual clothing unless I'm going somewhere nice, I'll dress up a bit more.

I swear I need more shorts in my life! I literally own just these denim shorts from Missguided, a camouflage pair, 2x pairs for the gym and a pair that I wear underneath dresses, so only two pairs are actually worn. But I'm trying this thing where I don't buy any new clothes or shoes and use what I already have so that I save money and not over fill my wardrobe to the point where nothing else will fit in!

Summer OOTD

I was really lacking in slogan/printed t-shirts that you could just throw on, so when I spotted this on Zaful, it just had to be mine! Plus I wanted it before hand as well when I first saw it on Charlotte. It's safe to say that I really don't need anymore clothes for now! How nice is my little choker though! I have like 3 different ones that are diamante now but this is by far my favourite out of them all!

As for my bag, another favourite of mine! I have one in navy, loved it and used it so much that I got the same one in red! I literally use them both ALL the time! I mentioned this one in my shopping haul video on my channel here..

You can also see me wearing this top in one of my vlogs on my YouTube here.

Now, you wouldn't guess I was wearing extensions here would you? Well I am hehee. I love how my hair is, but these hair extensions from Best Hair Store give my hair so much more thickness! It's the perfect shade for my blonde highlights and they are real virgin hair too! They're a lot longer than I intended them to be, but you can always customise these sort of extensions to however you want. See, I might do a bit of dip dying with these extensions and put the pastel sprays on them! I love experimenting!

I got the 130g 20 Inch Clip In Human Hair Extensions in the Highlight Colour. Honestly, they are so silky and beautiful! I've had extensions like these before that I featured here. The ones I had before were much heavier, even though they were beautiful and the perfect length, this set is so much lighter and more like my hair colour, which is perfect! I'll definitely be wearing these more often to make my hair look thicker. One thing with extensions, they can weigh your head down and make me sweat a bit, so I'd prefer to wear these during the colder months. I fully tested these extensions out by the way! I wore them out for a walk and played football, so bearing i mind I was running around a fair bit, and NONE fell out! So one, I put them in right and two, they grip pretty well!

Travel | Plans

Lake Ossiach

The amount of places I've saved to my Pinterest boards 'Places To Travel To'. Literally the list is endless, but it's about time I wrote a blog post on where I'd like to travel to next.

First off, I've always want to head down to Brighton for a weekend or a day trip. This is something I'm currently planning, possibly a day trip. I'd love to head down to the Lanes, Brighton Pier and maybe check out a few bars, cafes and restaurants, as well as the shops of course!

My next destination this year, is Scotland, up in the highlands, I'd love to go to Edinburgh and obviously the Loch Ness! Edinburgh us my main city to see in Scotland, as I've heard it is a very beautiful city to stay in, as well as explore.

I've heard a lot about Bath this year on a few bloggers Instagrams and blogs. It honestly looks like such a stunning and historic place! I might actually plan to go there for a weekend in the summer, maybe next year though as I have a fair few plans for travelling this year!

I've already booked to go to Disneyland Paris with two of my best friends for a weekend in August that we are all very excited for and are staying in the Toy Story themed hotel called the Cheyenne. Let me know if you've ever been and what you can recommend!

Other plans I would like to do is, go to Germany to see Cologne & Rhine and of course see my friend Yella - check out here blog here, Amsterdam would be amazing to go and travel to for a few days as that was the plan this year, but maybe next year! I also would like to go to Ibiza again, as I went last year, but I'd love to stay at the Ibiza Rocks hotel at some point!

If you love to travel and want some new ideas of places to travel to, check out my Pinterest as I'm always looking at travel places as well as loads of other topics on Pinterest, I could spend hours on that app!

Thanks for reading! Where are yo travelled before and where are you travelling on going to in the future?

Advice | Don't Be Like Everyone Else

Love Lock Bridge

What is it with how people judge others? Why is it your friends with someone you actually dislike? Why do we punish ourselves for something we regret doing? All the questions we ask ourselves...Why do we do it? Well you know what? I'm here to say, I really couldn't give a toss about people judging me for who I am, what I do, what I love to do, the way I am, my likes and dislikes. I've come to that point where I want to live my life how I want to.

First off, I've been inspired by Sarah Knight with the 'Life Changing Magic Of Not Giving A F*ck' book. There's so many things it's made me think about in life that I think I care about, when actually I really don't! Whether that be going on a night out I really don't want to waste my money on to only make myself ill the next day.

Another thing how a lot of us bloggers seem to be obsessed with a theme, covered in rose gold and marble pieces, or designer home ware, or even designer fashion. As much as I love all this stuff, I'm not that type of blogger, I'm a strong opinionated woman, who loves to explore the world to even a different part of my own city, venture into the countryside and just breathe! We get swallowed up into social media and all it's new stuff that comes out that everyone seems to have, but I do not let myself fall into that advertising trap. Money doesn't come around very easily, some people are in better positions than others.

My point is through this post is, you do you, whether that's taking a break, doing something creative, what YOU like to do, no matter what people may think, say or what ever bitch face they pull at you. They cannot stop you from doing what you want. Don't waste your time with people that don't let you strive to achieve in life and don't waste time doing things that you don't want to do, unless it's very important of course. Also, don't feel pressured to follow the crowd either. I've done this once or twice, but I always prefer to go my own way and decide what I want in my personal style, as I hate to have things that everyone else has.

It's amazing what you think about when your on the train home. I just wanted to express these everyday feelings and thought that I know a lot of people have, especially caring about what other people think - who cares! I certainly don't. I want to live my life to the fullest, and no one will stop me or get in the way of that!

Thanks for reading and never stop doing what you love!
